Opinions on This Amp Research as a Host Bike?

(Borrowed this pic from another thread) I have, essentially, the same bike... an Amp Research, full suspension, double disc brake bike which weighs in at 26Lbs stock. Does anyone have an opinion on me installing the Bionx PL 350 or PL500 Li ion on this bike?

Might be too light

Those bikes were excellent and state of the art in their day. But they had a reputation as being extremely lightweight for racing, and less durable because of it, the fork in particular. I do not think it would handle the extra weight of any electric assist conversion well.
