spoking a motor in a 26" wheel
Hi guys
I'm starting a build to convert an old commuter mnt bike, and I'm wondering if anyone can share some info on how to spoke a 350w motor into my rear wheel. I realize I might have to reduce the amount of cogs in the cassette (or do I?). Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
thanks everyone. ian

Thanks for posting that but it looks way beyond my level of ability!! Does anyone know someone in the Toronto area who can do this professionally? I have a 700c Bionx 350PL motor to switch to a cycle cart wheel 24" x 4 1/4 (from a Turf Trike)

That stuff is way beyond me too. The site also sells packs of spokes of different lengths. I asked at REI if they could lace and/or true a wheel and they said they could. My WE BD36 wheel came with some loose spokes and not at all true.

I have found a shop that will do the job - luckily my wife has decided on a regular 24" wheel so this has simplified the job. Toronto's Urbane Cyclist on John Street will do it.
