Sturdy Floor stand?

Instead of taking my battery pack off the bike after every ride I would rather back the rear wheel into a stand in the garage and charge the batteries on the bike. The bike is very top heavy with the 4 SLA batteries. Any suggestions?

My kids are running in and out. If it is not secured it will end up splattered on the floor. Someone mentioned building a stand out of a wooden pallet but I couldn't find any plans?
