running ampedbikes kit at 60V

Just for giggles I added 2 more 12V 10AH batteries for total of 60V Theres no heat from the controller or hub, but it is dangerously fast.

How long can I run it on 60V? No heat means its fine right?

My guess is about 16mph before, and 28mph now.

The rear rack is kind of heavy and I cant take tight turns at speed, it feels like it is swaying too much. I think Im backing down to 48V. Im too sexy to die now lol

That's awesome. How did you mount the three batteries? This is with rear hub?

turoczi,
just to confirm, were you using a 36V controller with a total of 60V batteries?

karma,
what are 'caps' and what are 'fets'. And how easy is it to replace this things? (by the way, I am not very technical ie I have not taken any electronics courses but I was able to install/wire a ceiling fan)

HI. Yes I was running 60V on new amped kit. They are rated, marked on back 36V 48V so I decided to try 60V. Very little heat, very fast, too fast to be safe.

I attached a pic of the inside of my speed controller. the capacitors say 60V

LOL.... Well Im not going to be doing that anymore

I would like to buy a rear kit and try it on a nice suspension bike.

Soo just how far can you go with it?

Also.. Is there a way to somehow "program" my speedcontroller?

For speed rather than torque? or Vice versa?
