bionx-what with this battery mount!11

I have a pl350 and am very frustrated with the mounting system. The part that goes onthe bike seems to warp and does not allow the battery to fit properly. If the electric plug matches up the rear part of the battery does not attach . I have not overtightened the screws and am at a loss Ive met other owners with the same problem any cures out there?

It is being mis-shaped by you when you tighten it up, it happened to me when I was installing mine. I ended up putting some clear spacers so that my oval tube would not change the shape of the battery mount(it needs to stay straight), so shim accordingly, especially with an oval tube.

or better yet, just hang it inside a bag strapped to your bike body post.

it makes loading / unloading a heck of a lot easier task

I'm not sure what your describing, but on my bike with an oval frame, I had to remove the cable from the bracket to be able to carve out enough space for the cable. I used a course file to do this.

You can look at the other mounting photos that show the spacers that I hot glued on the bracket to accomodate the oval shape of the frame. Look here....

Hope that helps.

Just finished my BionX PL 350 build on a Motobecane Cafe Sprint with oval tube. Used some short lengths of 3/16" plastic tubing to shim the sides of the battery bracket. Had to try several pairs of battery mounting bracket holes to find the ones that would allow the supplied oval head hex bolts to properly mesh with the recesses in the battery pack. Got everything installed, checked, zip-tyed and cleaned up yesterday afternoon. Small control changes after the first test ride, but everything going well. Good luck.

When trying to install my bracket the original mountings screw broke off in its socket. I drilled it out and inserted a screw extractor. The screw extractor broke off! I now have the bracket held on with two zip ties. The battery tends to lean to the right so I used extra wide electrical tape to secure it.
Very unsatisfactory, one day when I have much more time and patience I'll revisit the mounting.
