That should double your riding time with every extra 24 volt battery you connect to it.

I bought a second battery pack from canadian tire for $130 bucks. I wired it in parallel with my original battery, so that the battery voltage stayed at 24V, but of course, I've got twice the fuel tank.
I'm 380lbs, and I can do a 26lm ride with any amount of pedalling, including no pedalling at all.
But, SLA batteries don't last more than 6 months, or 100 recharge cycles. And, the Schwinn battery cases are twice the cost of the actual batteries inside them, so you might want to learn to rebuild the packs your self.
Wasp, and several others have had great success with the Yardworks batteries from Canadian tire. I am definitely upgrading my system to the yardworks batteries. the prices are excellent, you won't need to replace them for about 1000 recharges ( 2-3 years) and the voltage doesn't sag during use, so you won't experience the same gradual lose of performance that you notice with your SLA batteries.
If you look around, you'll find pictures of Izip bikes throughout this forum, you made a good choice. Best of wishes to you.
