Aussie E-bikers

What e-bike's are you riding and where did you get them from? (or where did you get the battery/motor if its a diy)

Thanks!

i dont think you can get better price than evpower.com

whilst your on the net check out either stealthebikes or emtb.com
they are the same sellers only thounsands of $$$$ more expensive, but a top ebike

or you can take the risk on ebay, baysidebargains(ebay seller) that have got kits for $280.00 delivered,
oh yeh evpower.com looks like goldenmotor kit, apparently if you buy from china,it can be dodgy
but from evpower you should be right, they test everything here in australia....
hope this helps
dont quote me on that, last time i checked

What I meant was that there is no website at evpower.com
Also the other sites you mentioned do not seem to be the right ones.
I am after a complete bike after somebody, who seemed to need my (ordinary push) bike more than I did, took it lock and all.
I've been looking at http://www.electrobikes.com.au/, that's just a suburb away, but they are not that cheap ...

Found the sites now:
http://www.evpower.com.au/
http://www.stealthelectricbikes.com.au/

If you add the battery and the kit and a bike you're up for 1500 or 1600 AUD.
And some mean machines at http://www.stealthelectricbikes.com.au/, upto 80kmh on a pushbike! WOW.

you are right you can easily spend some hard cash on electric bicycles....
i did my electric bicycle for the cheapest i could....
i bought a near new second hand raleigh mountain bicycle RRP$550.i paid $150.00 of ebay...
+ found a supplier in sydney who sold 36v 400watt diy front wheel drive kits for $480.00 including 3x12v14amp sla battery....
only down fall is the weight of the sla batterys....

the only thing about diy for people who are new at it,is that i advise them to get the local bicycle shop go over all the brakes to make sure they are adjusted properly....
i rode mine for about 1 year with dodgy brakes...i went thru more sneakers in that year that i did i my whole lifeusing the soles of them to brake...

i took my bike to the shop to get disk brakes installed(about to spend $500.00) for the disk brakes..
and the guy just tightened my v brakes properly...and the difference was incredible...so was the $500.00 i saved

however i wish you the best of luck for your purchase...
trake care
