    Coal Powered Windmill to charge E-Bike batteries

    Initial testing of a 1200 Kw Coal powered Windmill in Germany which is planned to charge batteries for thousands of Electric bicycles.

    Apparently concerns have developed with respect to the resultant CO2 emissions.

    Why does a windmill need coal power?
    I thought windmills were wind powered, hence the name...

    Ummm..... It uses wind power to burn the coal silly.
