Ebike Kit options-Pls Help
I just want to add constant power to my bike. I have a 27 mile commute. I could do it on a daily basis, but then actually working for the rest of the day and driving back is a whole nother question. What can I do to just add constant power, while I pedal, I don't wanna be limited to 20 mph. I'd like to think that I can make this commute close to 30 mph with constant peddling. Oh yeah I want to do this to a light road bike. I don't need to be a speed demon, but I know I can peddle at 20 mph without a motor assist. What are the best options for what I am looking for. If I need to provide more info let me know.
Thanks

If you live in California, boost systems above 20 mph can be registered as motorized bicycles. The BionX PL500HS claims "up to 45km/h" (28 mph) with 65km (40 mi) range. I see it offered at Electric Cyclery and NYCEwheels.
I don't have one, but I'm very interested because of my similar commute (only 22 miles each way though). The price tag is a little $teep for me right now.

48v battery (or 72/96 if you wanna get loco) with a >500watt motor (get the BMC v3 1000watt). Put it on a 700c wheel. And don't sue me.
Seriously, if you want to get yourself up that quick, just be safe about it. Good brakes, tune the bike well, and THINK when you ride. Don't give my bike a hard time becoming legalized if you do something to kill yourself or someone else.
