Trek Electric Bike Conversion

Early this week, I ran across a 2005 Trek Calypso in very good shape, mostly original. I paid $40 for it. But when I got it home, I found that the bike had been converted to electric, and that the big hub on the front wheel was a BMC electric motor. The electric system was tie wrapped in, and did not come with the expensive batteries.

I want to convert it back to just a pedal powered bike, but I have no idea what to do with the front wheel, the throttle (the face of it is broken), and the control module. I do not have the batteries to test it.

you'll have to take that front wheel off and put a regular wheel on.

You could probably test the if the front wheel works by taking your car battery and hooking up the leads to it....if it turns and works okay, you could probably sell if for maybe $100 - $150 .
