    Green Cruiser Thunder?

    Hello all,

I'm new to the forums and to electric bikes in general. I'm shopping around for one right now. The purpose is to commute to work (about 9 miles each way, with one fairly steep, fairly long hill). I found what could be a good deal on the Green Cruiser Thunder ebike http://green-cruisers.com/proweb/sel...e&cid=9&id=125

I haven't been able to find much information on this company. I found one other thread here and that didn't say much. So I'm just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with Green Cruiser. I'd like to know they make decent bikes.

    Thanks,
    -Chad

Welcome Chad, I don't know anything about that bike. But I know for the most part all bikes are over rated. If your lucky the range is more then likely 20 to 25 miles at best and that's with you peddling your butt off. That goes for the max speed as well. It may get to 20mph but that's going be on the flat with no wind. More likely again down hill with you peddling hard. That's only a 250w motor and (stock) it's not going to give you much power. Because of the 28" wheels it will have a higher top speed. However, with the small motor it may take blocks to get to the top speed. With the small 250w motor and large wheel the torque is going to be very low so you best plan on peddling supper hard on that hill.
