Bike new bie: Please help with this Bike:: eneloop-bike-CY-SPA600NA

My commute is almost 10 miles up and down in the hills.
I am in san diego so I can ride to work all through the year because of moderate weather
I am really motivated to get rid of my second car and fully utilize bike for most of the stuffs, trying to be a bit green
Now, I found this used bike:: http://us.sanyo.com/SANYO-Store/enel...ke-CY-SPA600NA for $1000 which the owner is claiming is brand new

Not sure how is this bike but it looks good and got some good reviews.
I am 5'10''/170lbs.

Please advice about this bike.
I am in decent shape.

Thanks

It looks like a nice city bike. It has a geared hub motor which have good torque for climbing hills yet this one also has regen braking for going down hills. Nice. Expect to pedal some though, especially when at 15 mph and over where you will have to do all the pedaling.
