Noisy motor and reduced speed....what could be the problem?

Hi yesterday i went to get out on my ebike and it was noisy straight off the bat....i just got the lithium battery and motor upgrade done about two weeks ago and it has been going great...all of a sudden this problem. Could it be rust? I can't video this because number on i live on a busy street, 2 it is raining heavily right now and 3 i need someone to video/record the sound....its seems to recede a little the longer i ride but not totally....because of the reduction in speed also there is a reduction in power like going up hills :0( Any suggestions?

Could be a wet Hall sensor in the motor or came loose...try running the motor sensorless if you can locate a cheap sensorless controlller like the KU123 from bmsbattery.com...3 for a hundred bucks. Good to have a spare controller anyway. If it runs fine with the sensorless controller, it is a Hall. I'm not sure other ways to test the Halls - try Endless-Sphere for more in depth testing help. Also, check all your Hall connectors for backed out pins etc.

just last week had a deep growl type noise from my bike about 425 moiles on it kit bike built a couple months ago, turned out to be a loose connecter. Try the basics first check all connecters !:)

Thanks will take a look again but i don't see anything loose. I will make that point at the bike store. Just thought it might have been because i got soaked a couple of times and maybe some water got in...therefore rust?
