How strong is OCLV carbon MB ??
Hi folks,
I am in the process of motorizing a 2000 Trek 9800 OCLV. I have read and heard about how sensitive it can be, seems to vary quite a bit.In order to mount the motor it would require some clamping to frame which I would not do with steel to frame, I would use rubber and surgical tubing depending on the location.I was wondering as many here are probably way more familiar with the strength of these bikes than those on motorized bike forums how this would be perceived.I have a link here showing the kit and how it would mount to the frame....Thanks Crank Shift Kit Complete with Honda GX35 35.8 cc Dicta

Slather More Carbon fabric and Epoxy on top of the thing , they engineered it for a 300watt human.. You are planning to use it beyond that ..
Steel gets really real there .. weld up your own Motorbike Frame . from scratch use heavy Hot rolled structural steel .
can we take out life-insurance so we make money if you fail and die?

Why not just buy a scooter or moped?
