Where wud i typically find a serial number on an ebike?

Hi i got a new Ezigo ebike a few months ago and want to find the serial number so i can record it somewhere just in case. Plus look into if i can afford bicycle insurance. Not sure how much that costs in Australia http://www.value-e-bikes.com.au/Alloy_E-Bikes.htm . I know that on my former ebike it was on the front of the bike. Sorry i dont know the terms for some of the parts :0)

It's usually underneath the bottom bracket.

Hmmm not having any luck. I sent an email to the guy that sold me the bike so maybe he might know. Bought it from an ebike shop. It might be in the bay that houses the battery but havent got time to slide it out right now. Its sort of lodged in because i have a motionalarm in the way on the seat post :0)
