My first e-bike, small customizations project
Hello, newbie here to the bicycles and e-bikes world, and my first post. I recently got a Currie IZIP E3 Path, loving it so far. I got some Basil attachable panniers for it... only to discover the rack rails that house the battery get in the way of using the hooks in the panniers... nothing some drilling/dremmeling couldn't fix.
Then decided I wanted to mount a wireless turn signal pod, but since I have a storage bag on top of the rack as well, the normal mounting bracket for the seat post would not do. After trying to figure out how to go about it, realized that I could actually use the space where the battery has a reflector placed:
Of course that means I'll have to move the reflector elsewhere, so the fender looked like the best place. This is happenning now as I write this, meaning the wireless pod is in transit and I haven't moved the reflector yet. I will post pics as I execute this little project, in case it helps someone else do something similar.

I had a little delay on this project because the wireless pod I got was different than the actual product pictured, so had to return it, find it somewhere else and order it. It should be here in a couple of days.
Also decided not to use the reflector in the back of the battery because mounting it on the rear fender would imply removing the fender and that would require removing the back wheel... too much effort. So instead I went with this:
Beach crusier rear fender reflector replacement - New - bicycle reflector
which should be here by Friday and hopefully by then I'll have the wireless pod in place. Stay tuned for pics!
