BionX Battery Mounted on Surly Big Dummy

I see that the battery will not mount on the water bottle area on the TOP of the seat stay. There is not enough room. It could of course fit on the water bottle mounts on the down tube, but I'd rather have it stealthier (at least a little bit more hidden). There are quite a few pictures showing the battery mounted on the underside of the seat stay, but it is hanging upside down and I wonder about the strain on the frame and the bottle braze ons.

Need to scroll down a bit to find the Big Dummy:

Has anyone had any issue with this mounting location. If not experience in this location I'd still like to hear opinions. Maybe you have a different bike and it's mounted upside down?
