    Electric bike or not ?

    Hi all!

My name is Jack, with the growth of 1.89 cm I weigh 115 kg (figure everything is fine). Since my passion is fishing and riding in the mountains that my choice was made in favor of Marin MTB. But over time I began to realize that I want something different. Now I have the desire to take electric bike (not Chinese or Japanese in any case). As a newcomer in the subject of electric bikes are faced with such questions as what to choose?! What is/are the best batteries to one charge could cover 75-80 km, which is better suited for off-road? What do you think about this? Is there in our time any solution to my problem ?

I hope the forum will help answer such questions and will advise really cool bike.
I would be grateful for any help in vital question.

All easy climbs and long descents on the way!

Go for a mid-drive or Stoke Monkey since you have steep hills (they use your bike's gearing).

Do you want an E-Assist bike, or an E-Bike? There is a big difference... I suspect an E-Bike but more info would be good as to how you want to use it...

Jack - Perhaps some can give suggestions but I believe that you are living in cycling Valhalla so nothing that we would recommend would be of benefit to you. Unless you are getting on in years or otherwise infirm I suggest that you enjoy what you have and wait until you are incapable of traversing the challenges on your own. I am a huge fan of electric bikes but you have a good thing going.
