This enabled the front fork suspension not to interfere with the basket position , and allowing the weight of shopping groceries to hang without getting in the way .

Thank you for the suggestion and I will go shop for a basket. Got any suggestions for a rear rack?

Again , the only thing I can think of is a rear rack that's held to your seat post . They tend to swivel a bit , so you could probably makeshift some rods (aluminium bar) to bolt from the rack to your shock absorber mounts below the seat providing there isn't too much movement going on . or drill a hole through the rack lock and seat post , then insert a bolt . This would prevent the rack from swinging providing you didn't have too much weight on it . But with such a new bike you don't want to be drilling holes .
Let me know how you get on so I have an excuse to crack open a beer ,,,,,,,,,,!

Rick, I checked a couple of rear hub motor, rear battery (Pedego, Currie) bikes, and found the weight distribution disturbing; accordingly, I purchased a front motor, mid battery conversion and found it excellent in pedal mode (yours, at least has a front motor to offset the weight somewhat. The new consideration is that I'd like to have a 30 mph bike.

2old , I personally like the front motors as well . The polaris vector , which I like for appearances has a 250w motor but the 36v 10ah battery doesn't really do it much justice I think . I had a look in at the pedego, currie bikes as well , and like you I wanted a faster bike I can give some throttle and pedal just to save on battery power for extra distance when I feel like it . I didn't want to spend the $2500 + for something im not sure im going to be happy with after ive spent the money . My consideration is a comfortable ride , then the 30mph speed , the gearing and sprockets being capable of keeping up with the motor , and a battery that will give me the distance I want . Did you purchase the pedego front motor & mid battery conversion ?
