You are using Google (Drive/Docs) for you storage location and their links do not allow Bikeforums.net to determine that the link is actually an image file. There isn't an easy way to link to images on Google. My suggestion is to open a free account on imgur.com and upload whatever forum images you want to post up there. They provide actually BB style links that already have the requisite IMG and /IMG tags.

Just wanted to suggest helmet lights. I rarely bike without my helmet and have taken to the habit of carrying it with me when I stop for a coffee or for shopping.
After having handlebar mounted lights and rearview mirror stolen, I've replaced them with helmet mounted equivalents.

...In Portland, Oregon theft of headlights and tail lights is very common. At a bike shop I recently overheard someone say that police discovered a house that had approximately 5,000 "stolen blinkies" stockpiled. I have no idea if that's true, but I can say that I've had several friends who've had their lights ripped off their bikes while locked up....

Thanks for the info. I just uploaded to imgur.com. I'm pasting the "BBCodes" under the "Huge Thumbnail" size, for anyone interested. As I mentioned, I plan to modify the design of my mount by adding a "bar end" to prevent thieves from hitting the light off with horizontal force.
Don't believe I've ever seen a lamp like that before. I was going to say it sure is ugly but it ain't as ugly as that mounting solution.

@noglider, your link is broken and not showing an image. That is why posting direct from Google is not the easiest thing to do, even if you know what you are doing.

Hmm... I've used Google Drive and Photos a lot to post photos to BF since they discontinued local photo hosting and direct uploads. Let's try again and see if anything has changed since the last time...
Image hosted on Google Drive
Seems to show up okay, at least for me. Anyone else having trouble viewing this attached image? Should show an old French Wonder light.

I just noticed that your front fender is a silvery light color and quite wide. With the lamp mounted where it is I would think you would get a lot of reflective glare off the fender with the lamp mounted so close. . If it were me I'd be tempted to paint the fenders black. With the lamp so close to the fender you would also get a very large shadow from the front tire. The shadow I could get used to but the reflective glare off the fender I would have to do something because that would drive me crazy.
Don't believe I've ever seen a lamp like that before. I was going to say it sure is ugly but it ain't as ugly as that mounting solution.

Ah, I see what happened with my photo attached via Google Drive. I use two different PCs, each logged into different Google accounts. The account I normally use from the laptop has public permissions. The account I use from the desktop doesn't.

Ride it like you stole it
I have used Google Drive, Microsoft's OneDrive, Dropbox and others to host pictures. It is doable but if you need to click through more than a few screens to make it work, it isn't worth my time. I can upload a photo to imgur.com and click on the image and get a link faster than I can do the same with a preexisting image on any of those services. And I don't need to use the forum dialog since the IMG tags are already there.
With all due respect to @noglider and @canklecat, you tried to show how easy it was to use Google drive and you actually proved my point for me. Both of your initial responses failed to actually show an image. Please do not take this statement as anything other than an observation and personal opinion.
Now back to the topic at hand. I am also interested in a headlight that will be harder to remove, my thought is moving toward replacing thumb screws with Torx screws, since not to many people carry around Torx drivers.

I still find Google photos easy because of the link between Google photos on my hard drive and my Google cloud account. All of my photo uploads since Bike Forums discontinued local hosting have been via Google. This was the first problem I'd experienced, just because I was using a different account on which I'd forgotten to change permissions.
I understand the preferences for other file hosts. I've used Imgur, Flickr, Photobucket, Mediafire, and many, many other photo and file hosts. But I don't care for the hassles of setting up new passworded accounts every time the old one changes policies or goes defunct. And Photobucket is horrible due to the ridiculous amount of scripts running in the background.
If Imgur were as seamless between my local hard drive and their cloud, I'd use it. But in this case the problem with my Google upload was user error, nothing inherent to Google.
However since Google discontinued support for Picasa it's not as appealing as it used to be. That was their most seamless conduit between the locally hosted photos and cloud storage. Unfortunately Google too has a history of suddenly discontinuing products that users like.

Believe me when I tell you @canklecat that I use OneDrive for the same reason as you use Drive, integration with my local file system. Well that plus the free 130 GB of storage (my Google drive is only 17GB). But that doesn't change the fact that it is just not easy to link forum photos from either site. Also note that even though many people are on this forum the vast majority have limited computer skills and need easy solutions to linking photos. I presented a simple solution, you and @noglider presented harder ones, simple as that. No need to complicate matters by explanations of why it failed.
I also have active accounts on Dropbox and Box.com
And I hate Google for dumping good products just because they seem to be tired of them!
@fietsbob, Got an example of integrated lights. I had a Schwinn Vestige for a short while, you know, the Bamboo bike with the lights in the frame, it lit up but didn't have an integrated headlight.

Wow, I'm really impressed with the Fortified Bicycle lights. The Aviator headlight and the Afterburner taillight (300 lumens and 60 lumens, respectively) can now be purchased as a combo for only $79 with free shipping from their website. They even guarantee that the lights won't get stolen or broken or ruined by water. If they do, Fortified will replace them. Great option. Even after hours of researching lights, I hadn't discovered these on my own.
I didn't realize they had bikes now too! They launched from a Kickstarter!
