Which new Mobius Camera should I buy?

Looking for a 2nd camera for my bike. I have a Mobius camera with the C2 lens on the front of my bike and works pretty decent.

But I want a 2nd camera also. The Mobius cameras are witin my price range, so I'm asking if anyone has bought, used and have pros and cons relative to any of the newer Mobius cams?

Mobius has a mini-camera, but I don't think that camera is for a bike, but rather for the drone flying crowd.

Mobius has a few other new cameras like the Mobius Zoom, but that looks like its used for mostly hunting. Not sure how that camera would work on a bike?

And there's the Mobius 1 & 2 cameras. Don't know anything about these two cams, kind of lens, etc?

The Mobius ITPcam Cycling Video Camera Package looks interesting, but cost $170. Considering what you get in the package though, it seems like a fair price. The camera itself looks somewhat similar to the C2 lens camera, but the lens has a small metal band around the lens. Whereas the C2 lens doesn't have that small metal band around the lens. So not really sure what model this camera and lens is? This cam is sold on the Mobius Action Cam site.

If I were to use this Mobius ITPcam Cycling Video Camera Package I would use it on long rides on my road bike. If anyone has used this setup, chime in with your experiences with it.

As for the other Mobius cams listed above if you use one of these cams on your bike, also chime in with how you like or dislike whichever cam you are using or have used.

As an added bonus for entertainment purposes only:
Give me the cash buddy!

Thanks!

Also have a 2nd question: It gets kind of boring on long rides, so have been thinking about a radio. I'm guessing its not legal to wear ear phones while biking?

If you have used a radio while biking what name brand works best, price and link to same?

Thanks!

Sorry, it was a feeble attempt at humor.

Sorry, my Crystal Ball is in for repairs, can you explain what this is supposed to mean and how it is related to the post?

Are there any particular features you're missing/wanting from a different camera? Field of view? Weather resistance? Size/weight? Mounting options?

Never mind, waste of time. Perhaps you should just go read some user reviews and decide for yourself.

Hey @sumbikerguy123, I can tell you that there is quite a rather large user base of the Mobius cameras in the R/C market. If you go to rcgroups.com there are multiple threads about all things related to Mobius. I am sure you can get any question answered as well as video clips there.
Here is a direct link to the Mobius 2 forum posts: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...osts-1-7%29%21
Here is a direct link to the Mobius Mini forum posts: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...g-questions%29

R. I did ask the same question there, but no one replied and the reason for coming here with the same question. The RC Groups is mostly aerial stuff, I guess people there don't ride bikes with Mobius cameras?

R. Thanks I'll look into it.

R. I realized the Mobius-Mini wouldn't work well in my situation as it only has a 30 minute battery life or recording time? This camera was made for the aerial drone crowd because of its light weight.

Thanks.

I assume you were trying to be helpful in asking your questions, but its kind of hard to answer your questions if I have never used the cameras I listed? That's why I asked for anyone's experiences/opinions with any of the newer Mobius cameras I listed.

Most of the Mobius cameras are the same size/weight, with the exception of the mini. I have a Mobius rain cover, some sellers offer package deals with a rain cover. Field of view I'm not that concerned with. Nor am I concerned with mounting options as I am all set there. So if I tell you all that, it doesn't really matter, nor does it help me or you to get an idea of the newer Mobius cameras I have never used and apparently neither have you. If you had used any of the listed cameras, I'm sure you would have told me about your experiences with same.

So it didn't make much sense to me, to answer your questions. Rather ask you once again: Have you used any of the Mobius cameras mentioned in my OP? That way I eliminate a lot of back and forth meaningless posts.

Perhaps you should just go read some user reviews and decide for yourself.
R. Apparently you took offense to my question: Have you used any of the Mobius cameras mentioned in my OP?
Straight up question, either you have or haven't. I'm not interested in looking at other cameras that I can't afford. I thought I was pretty specific with that in my post. Again, I assume you were trying to help, but I didn't want to go on an exploration of other cameras not mentioned in my OP. Sorry you felt offended, but looks like I will have to go read others reviews and decide for myself.

Maybe I shouldn't ask questions for fear some dipschitt will come along and make a dumb reply to my post with: 'I think there are two sides to this question.' But doesn't elaborate what he means when asked? Then follows up with equally dumb 2nd reply: 'A Mobius strip has only one side.' WTF is that? Smoke another bone dude, WTF?

There are only 3 current Mobius versions:
- Mobius (aka Mobius1): https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...datory-reading!)
- Mobius 2: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...0#post34846424
- Mobius Mini: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...g-questions%29

Scroll down in each link to see the images for identification.
I use the original Mobius as a dashcam in my car.
It does the job, but is not particularly outstanding;
I went to it after miserable experiences with the Mini 08** cameras which were unreliable junk, despite good reviews.

On the bicycle and motorcycle, I use Replay XD cameras, (Prime X and 1080 Mini).
I wish I could recommend them, but the mfgr seems to have gone into hibernation.

@sumbikerguy123, I wouldn't suggest asking bike specific questions on RCGroups, just that if you want to know anything technical, there is more information on Mobius camera than anywhere else on the web. So if you ask there reword your question to eliminate the word bicycle and see what kind of answers you get. I have had very good responses from most of the threads I have posted on at RCGroups.

I thought very hard about the original Mobius when I was heavy into flying UAV's but re-purposed my GoPro Hero 3 Black when I switched to Sony action cams. Now the only thing I really want is a Sony 4k action cam that can be controlled using ANT+.

I'm sorry you didn't get a totally harmless and very simple one-liner joke, and that it continues to go over your head, despite it being explained to you several times. However, your tantrum-responses to me and the other posters (who appear to have provided you with sensible answers to your first question) border on the pathological. Get a grip. If I was trying to make fun of you, your second question would have been a much more entertaining target. (Do you really need to bring Johnny Mathis and Pat Boone along on your rides to keep your tiny mind occupied when deprived of the intellectual stimulation of cat videos?)

Also, why do you keep putting an "R." in front of everything you type? Do you use an AOL interface to watch your cat videos, too?

FWIW: You might want to try a Sony action-cam. https://www.sony.com/electronics/action-cam/t/action-cam I have a K-edge mount for mine that works well.

Lighten up a bit and have a Happy New Year.

R. Thanks for the links/info/post. I think I will just buy another Mobius C2 camera as they seem fairly consistent in my experience. I think the Mobius 2 needs more fine tuning based on Amazon reviews of this cam. The reviews weren't that good.

Thanks again.

R. Thanks. But I'm sure if I did reword/eliminate the word bike, they would likely still ask what would I use the camera for? So they could make recommendations.

Yes they do a good job of explaining the technical part of the cameras. But based on the reviews on Amazon of the M2 camera, it appears there is more work for the manufacturer to fine tune this camera.

I thought very hard about the original Mobius when I was heavy into flying UAV's but re-purposed my GoPro Hero 3 Black when I switched to Sony action cams. Now the only thing I really want is a Sony 4k action cam that can be controlled using ANT+.
R. The Mobius ITPcam Cycling Video Camera Package looked interesting, but the seller doesn't have the time to answer product questions, it appears, oh well?

I'm sorry you didn't get a totally harmless and very simple one-liner joke,

R. I still don't get it, only you will ever know whatever your one-liner joke was?

and that it continues to go over your head,

R. I agree, my Crystal Ball is in for repairs, maybe next time buddy.

despite it being explained to you several times.

R. I asked you several times what your one-lined jokes meant? But you refused to explain what your totally harmless and very simple one-liner jokes meant?

However, your tantrum-responses to me

R. Perfectly normal to ask what you meant in reply to your several feeble minded attempts at humor? Not temper tantrums-responses, just simply trying to understand what your replies meant? 1. "A Mobius Strip has only one side"? 2. "There are two sides to this story?" 3. "Quote: Mobius Camera...Sorry for the intrusion. Bye"

and the other posters (who appear to have provided you with sensible answers to your first question) border on the pathological.

R. So because you have egg on your face you need to drag others into your feeble minded attempts at one liner jokes only you understand to support your lame responses? Typical save face response...blame the other guy for your lame posts. Take responsibility for your own actions, don't try to pass it off on others, not happening mate. Pathological...another lame response in an attempt to take the focus off your lame replies.

Get a grip.

R. Yea...okay?

If I was trying to make fun of you,

R. Making assumptions about what others or I was thinking? Again, I didn't understand what your several feeble attempts at humor meant? "A Mobius strip has only one side." WTF does that mean???

your second question would have been a much more entertaining target.

R. I agree, you seem to be that kind of insecure jerk (A troll) looking for someone to prey on.

(Do you really need to bring Johnny Mathis and Pat Boone along on your rides to keep your tiny mind occupied when deprived of the intellectual stimulation of cat videos?)

R. I see your feelings are hurt because of your lame replies. If Pat Boone & Johnny Mathis are your style of music, that's your prerogative. Again, "Troll City" should be your nickname. Insulting others because you posted lame replies w/o any explanation as to what they meant? Is in itself pretty lame.

So everyone that listens to a radio regardless of the activity, has something wrong with them? Not manly enough for you? And all people that ride a bike and have some type of music either attached to their bike or themselves are automatically categorized as having small minds and are below your standard of what a human being should be while riding a bike?

OR are your insecure feelings hurt and you need to save face at all costs?

The cat video shows I have a sense of humor, as was the intention of the video itself. Seems 7,430,149 others also had enough interest to want to watch the video. You may have been one of them for all I know? But don't think you would admit it in order to save face. Quite honestly, I think the cats make more sense than you do.

Also, why do you keep putting an "R." in front of everything you type?

R. Why are you such a dipschitt? Why do you ask such dumb questions when you know the answers, fairly apparent?

Do you use an AOL interface to watch your cat videos, too?

R. Is this another one of your lame and immature attempts at humor? Do you have a brain cell that works? Do you always make dumb replies to others posts? Do you always go around and try to bait people like the "Troll" you are?

FWIW: You might want to try a Sony action-cam. Action Cameras | Action Cam Sports Cameras | Sony US I have a K-edge mount for mine that works well.

R. If you had any common sense you would have posted this from the gitgo, instead of dragging people through the mud and insulting them like the insecure troll you are. Because you have mud on your face and want to save face by being a jerk. You seem to have a nitch on the Internet...youtube...a good place for people like you who enjoy being a jerk and insulting people for your own lame replies.

Lighten up a bit and have a Happy New Year.

R. Sure, take your head out of your ass and learn how to make a sensible reply. Try YouTube, you seem to be pretty good at it.

And don't post here in this thread anymore or any other future thread I post. Have a good one mate.

So let's see, a Mobius strip only has 1 side. You are asking about Mobius cameras, named after the well known mathmatician. They even use the Mobius strip in their logo. (although they misuse it by having three twists). He makes a comment about 2 sides to the question. I burst out laughing.

Talk about a one-sided mind...
