Wahoo Magnetless Sensors: What's the latest firmware
Thx to Prime Day I went and got the above...Cadence sensor updated right away from v1.something to v2.something.something (sorry didn't pay attention...) Meanwhile the speed sensor has yet to see any updates, still has firmware v1.0.2, I think.
Did Wahoo need to update the cadence sensor that much, and the speed sensor that little....or is the Wahoo Utility (Android) app not finding updates for the speed sensor?

I just got a speed/cadence combo and, without even taking them out of the box, I ran the Wahoo utility on my iPhone and checked. The Speed sensor is at firmware 1.0.2 with no updates, while the Cadence sensor got updated to firmware 2.0.16, so I think you're okay.
I recall reading somewhere that the early cadence firmware had some issues with disconnects and erratic readings, so it has probably had more extensive revisions than the speed sensor. I guess they must use different hardware under the hood (seems like you could do both tasks with the same device, but who knows), and the cadence chip was just more buggy. Or maybe there are some other software differences required for detecting cadence vs speed, and the cadence algorithm is just more complex and needed more tweaking.

i never even thought about the firmware of my cadence sensor, I should check it. It works ok with my phone on bluetooth, but when I use ant+, it's all over the place.

My cadence sensors (I have two) are both at 2.0.19 and have been for a few weeks. My speed sensors (again 2) are both at 1.0.2.
I have a Tickr as well. It is at 1.2.21.
I verified with Wahoo on the phone 2 weeks ago that these are the latest updated firmware versions.
