mavic sl and magnets

Hey,
I have a db 4lw, wireless cycling computer(performance bike).I have two sets of wheels AC sprint 350 and Mavic ssc sl. The computer has no trouble picking up the magnet on the Sprint 350-regular magnet. However, the magnet which I got with my polar cs100 is the only one that will fit on my bladed spokes on the mavics. This magnet does not seem as strong as the regular magnet as it doesn't function 100% even with the cs100, but does not function at all with the db4lw. Any suggestions to jury-rig another magnet on the Mavic wheels would be appreciated.
Is there perhaps a stronger magnet for these bladed spokes,
thanks

One option might be to get a neodymium disc magnet and stick it
on the original magnet and see if that might work. Neodymium discs
are not too hard to find and are formidable for their size. The
attraction force should be enough to obviate any concern over the
magnet falling off. Toy and hobby stores might be one source.

Mavic makes a magnet specifically for the SSC SL, does that not work?

no the mavic magnet doesn't work, it is not strong enough I think.
I will try using the neodymium disc magnet, hopefully that will work, thanks for the answers.

You can pry the magnet out of the housing on the Mavic piece and replace it with a rare earth one. FWIW, I found the Mavic magnet to plenty strong tho.

Yeah me too, as to the Mavic magnet. A good source of magnets are from the backing piece of the corporate name tags. No more pins to ruin clothes. I salvaged one off of my name tag (You can get a blank one for like $3 at a trophy store or Staples or some local office supply place).

Just superglue it to a spoke or glue it to your existing holder. Trust me those little magnets are very strong.
