Can SportsTracks Create .crs Files?

I just finished a search for information on creating .crs files for my Edge 305.

Of the many free online sites, Toporoute.com does a good job when coupled with GPX2crs.

But I keep reading about using ST being used to create routes. I've yet to see how this is possible. Am I missing something? Can a route be created from scratch? Or are folk talking about the ST edit function on existing routes?

Seems to me that ST is useful after an activity, not before it.

Yeah the next version is looking pretty insane. The current version pretty much has everything I need but oe thing I like about the next: you can edit your tracks (if the GPS got it wrong) by simply dragging the route on the google earth map!
