Cateye Astrale 8 vs Strada Cadence

Looking for a new computer with cadence and rear wheel speed. Seems like the Strada line is replacing the Astrale 8. Both have very similar features. Astrale is at sale prices, which may mean it will be discontinued? Strada with larger numbers (?), different mode button. Can anybody compare the two, or have experience with the newer Stradas? Any other suggestions for a cadence/rear wheel computer?

Yes, Cateye can. The new Strada Cadence is not on the chart yet.
What is better than getting your heart rate up and saddle time?

Another difference is that the odometer on the Strada Cadence can be set manually, which the Astrale 8 cannot - handy when changing the battery so you don't lose your miles.

I gave my GF the Astrale, and she gave me the Strada Cadence! Isn't love wonderful? The Astrale is definitely better looking, but I do like how they button interface works on the Strada. Both are extremely easy to set up, for they both have the same mounting system. I'm a little annoyed with seemingly more cycling through the functions of the Strada vs the Astrale. I may be a bit old school, but the Astrale is more intuitive for me. The Astrale seems to have great track record. The Strada has bigger numbers, but doesn't seem that much bigger.

I really like my Strada, but you won't have any regrets getting the Astrale.
Every time we let a vehicle pass there is a little bit of compromise. But compromise allows the city to function and allows cyclists to function in the city. The trick is not to eliminate compromise but to learn how to work safely within it.
