Question Question on Niterider Minewt X2 mount

Can the Minewt X2 be easy and quickly removed/installed on a handlebar? I park my bike outside during the day and want to be able to take light (and or batteries) with me.
How sturdy is the mounting mechanism? If you do install and remove the light daily, will the mount wear out shortly?

I am trying to compare this to Dinotte 200L and Fenix L2D light (so this question may sound familiar)

Thanks for any advice

The lighthead is held on by a rubber o-ring, and the battery by a velcro strap. My wife lost one o-ring while riding, but it might have been too large (the light comes w/ 3 sizes of o-ring, and this was the medium one, but it turns out the small one will fit with enough stretching; remains to be seen whether that one will snap).

On the niterider website (https://www.niterider.com/prod_minewtx2.shtml#) it mentions a gimble style mount. Is this mount attached with the o-ring?

Yes the o-ring holds the gimble down. You can see the grooves at the front and back of the gimble that the o-ring goes into if you follow the link on the page you linked (the righthand picture). I guess it's gimble-'style' because it doesn't float freely like gimbled items you might find on a boat, or the center headlight on a Hudson car...
