    got a minewt dual but...

i dont like how it only lasts for 1:30ish on high...i was thinking about getting the dinnotte 200L and combine it with my minewt dual for a total of 500 lumens....i was wondering if anyone has had experience with both...I like how the dinotte has the AA batteries and it last a little longer on high. I was also wondering if the color outputs are the same...My dad has a halogen and compared to my led light it's so orange...i've never ridden with another person with a LED light, so i have no experience on whether it's the same "whiteness."

Hard to say whether the color will be the same. It's doubtful Dinotte bins their LED's together. They probably just order whatever rolls are available and stick them in the lights. But yes, it will still be considerably whiter than your halogen light.

I actually combine my Minewt Dual X2 with a halogen lamp (Planet Bike Alias 15w). LEDs are just too blue-ish alone for me so the color and the spread of a halogen lamp compliments them rather well. I run the Minewt Dual lamps at the lower power (which is still plenty bright).

So I'm going to bump this thread because I don't want to start a fresh one. I have a Minewt of the single variety. I was wondering if anyone has come up with a DIY battery replacement or found a way to increase the run time on this light. I really like the brightness this gives to my incredibly dark rides but I have to charge it after everyother ride, which I often forget to do and end up riding in pitch black for half my ride. I'd totally be up for soldering somethign together with like Nimh batteries or something. Anyone taken the battery pack apart? Really any suggestions would help. Thanks.

I was going to suggest that but I was not exactly sure that would solve your problem. I would have thought they would have developed a larger battery pack by now.

You can probably go to a local battery retailer and get a larger battery pack made up. It may even be cheaper in the long run.
What is better than getting your heart rate up and saddle time?
