Need a bag to clip on my belt

This isn't bike related, but I thought folks here might be able to help.
I'm looking for a small bag that would clip on to my belt that would hold a few tools. Probably a pencil, 6" ruler, small tape measure, and maybe a screwdriver and pliers or small cresent wrench. I'm looking for something that would clip on and off easily, like the clips on the back of a tape measure.
I want something I can clip on my belt when I go into the shop then take off when I leave, which I do numerous times each day. I would like to have all these articles with me without carrying them in my pockets. I don't need something as large as a carpenters tool pouch that is worn around the waist on a belt.
A small carpenter's tool pouch with open top (no flap) that clips onto your belt would be ideal. The ones with the wide belts are too cumbersome.
Any ideas?

Pockits might have something that would work for you.

I always love 'gounch line' kit. Ok, you asked about bags (more called 'pouches BTW) for your belt? I've gtten a number of belt line kit in my time and seen a bit as well. Prices range from $7-$30+.

https://www.niteize.com/

Maker of the original 'Pock-its'. Check the site out. Lots to fit your needs. One does not nessassarly (sp?) have to use the item for a flashlight/cellphone and can use it for thier own items..

https://www.maxpedition.com/

This company makes full functional kit for day to day people as well as tho that serve/ex-served. To my knowledge they are not a NSN stocker for the troops in the USA but I could be wrong. They have many pouches/small bags that will more then suit your needs. They also carry outside the standard camo/OD green colors which is good as well. They are durable, water resistant, and well stitched (comperable to military spec.).

I own the Thermite Versi-pak which if you check the link is a minimalists bag. You can carry it in 3 ways.

1. Shoulder (like a small camera bag/day timer)
2. Clip to the waist (like a small fanny pack)
3. Waist + legstrap (the leg strap is hidden behind the bag and when attached to the leg makes a VERY solid, not going anywhere, bag that you can get into a fight if you need to and the bag still is there)

I've owned this bag for aout 2 yrs now. You can cinch it up to be a smaller bag. The sides can hold your cellphone/flashlight should you need, outside small pocket holds pen/papers, inside main can hold a light-vest (confirmed by me) or I think a light jacket (unconfirmed) if rolled up very tightly while still having room for a pump, repair kit (I housed this full kit here with spare patches, mini wrench, and mini adjustable wrench. It fits SMALL), chain break tool, 2xAA LED Maglite, mini multi-tool, small first aid pack, pens/paper, spare batteries, spare blinkie, and room enough for about 4 Powerbars (or about 8 gels).

Yes it seems like the bag is big based on how much stuff I have in there but it's all in the configuration of how you pack the bag and the items you choose to fit. Most people are amazed such a smal bag can fit all this when I unpack it. BTW if anyone gives you flack for the way the bag looks when you shoulder carry (more like a 'purse' comment) it then put it on the waist and legstrap it and it tends to shut them up quickly.

Well if you check out the other pouches on the site I'd like to note that they are all modular meaning that you can attach them to anything and remove and recustom the pouches you need. You can use thier plastic clips or use the tried and true A.L.I.C.E clips found in any surplus store which have worked for many many years.

Other companies to also check out are:

www.blackhawk.com - They are NSN and may have some better smaller pouches. I only have a watch cover from these guys and it's solid quality. Kepes the watch from getting scratched.

www.eagleindustries.com - Another good NSN stocker with many smaller pouches.

You can also check out surplus stores which lso well new pouches in more civie colors and functional design uses from some cheaper companies or knock off brands which may work as well.

Shops that cater to the security crowd (ie. mall security/patrol secuirty etc) have nice pouches as well. I have heard good things from the company called Calderidge (hope I'm spelling it right) which hails from B.C Canada.

You can check www.davesarmysurplus.com (I have no affliation to this company ther then being a happy customer. I get no kickbacks for mentioning thier name) for more pouches from other companies. If you're ordering I ound out that you can get a discount (forgot the discount amount) if you mention the name 'Sean Kennedy discount'. I only know of that guys name from having seen some reviews he's done online for gear and he did mention if you use his name you would get a discount because the guy shops there a lot and decided to share the savings. Ask for Martin at the store and he may ask for clarifiation on who Sean Kennedy is (as it did happen o me before when I was ordering and more as a security on thier side I guess so the discount is not written on bathroom walls and such so they know who's asking for it knows who the person is I guess) which one only needs to reply 'Sean Kennedy from Patrolling' which I found his link here which I was looking for functional versatile gear both for cycling and day to day use.

I like how the guy reviews his sutff.
