Fenix: excellent customer service

I have recently had some problems with my Fenix light. Here's a link explaining the situation, it's at post#30
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...=376973&page=2
I finally gave up, contacted Fenix and they said the lights should last 50,000hours and to ship it back. I finally shipped it to them last Saturday(8th) and got it back yesterday(13th). Talk about fast!!!! They replaced the head and all is good. One of the best customer treatments I have ever experienced. I am cranking at 175 lumen again. Way to go Fenix. Charlie

That's great... but it's quite a contrast to my experience. It took almost 2-months to return a P2D that I bought in October. The light crapped out during about the third hour of use. I had to send Fenix two reminder e-mails to get them working on my exchange. However, I am very happy with my Fenix light and would still buy it again.

Did you both buy your lights at the same place and send to the same place for repairs?

I bought mine from the Fenix Store.
Oh, and I don't know why I said I bought a P2D... it was late and I was tired... it was actually a L2D with a Luxeon Rebel LED.

I bought it at the main online store, Fenix-store. Sent it back to the same store. First I emailed and explained the problem. They gave me a number(ARM#??) to attach to the package. I was equally impressed with the USPS. Charlie

I ordered a pair of L2D CE lights from them, not knowing they also sold a brighter model, the L2D Q5 (it wasn't in the 2xAA section of their web site). They gave me no grief about returning them for the Q5s and didn't charge for shipping.

Then I had a problem with the on/off switch on one of them. They sent out a new switch right away no charge and didn't even ask me to return the defective part.
