Dinotte 2L Computer Interference?
Has anyone had any trouble with a headlight (I happen to have the Dinotte 200L) interfering with their cycle computer? When the light is on, my cycle computer tends to get very erratic with the speed fluctuating pretty wildly, between the correct speed and 25, 45, even 64 miles per hour. The computer is mounted on the stem, and the light is just to the right of it. I've never noticed this fluctuating any other time.
I probably won't do anything about it, since I mainly use the computer to spot-check speed and distance traveled, and I can't see it in the dark anyway, but I was just curious.

I have my Dinotte located very close to my Cat Eye computer and so far I have noticed no interference at all.

Another one here with the 200L next to a Cateye Enduro on the three bikes it is used with, no problems on any of mine.

Yup. I have a problem too between the 200L and my Blackburn Delphi 4.0. Two bikes, two lights, two comps, same problem. The older DiNotte Ultra 5 was just fine with the Delphi, so I know it's an issue with the 200L. And it seems worse when the DiNotte's batteries are lower.
I like the lights, so eventually I'll replace the Delphis.

I do not have this problem with my Sigma BC1606, which is a wired computer. I have had the problem you describe with any LED source (Dinotte 200L or Fenix L2D PQ5) near my wireless computers (SI90, SI90HR) on my other bikes. Get a wired computer and you won't have this problem.

I was noticing the same problem the other day with my computer reading erratic speeds. I have a Cateye MC100W wireless but I wasn't using any LED/lights at the time except my rear blinky. I think my problem is rooted in how close my MP3 player and speakers are to the computer. I'm thinking that in my case it's possibly signal interference from the speakers' magnets since when I had the MP3 player in the same place using an earbud, I didn't have an issue (I don't think). I'll have to experiment some more to try and track down the problem but until I read this thread, I hadn't really considered interference to be the culprit for the erratic speed readout - I figured my magnet was out of alignment or something. Duh...

I probably won't do anything about it this season anyway. I like the light very much, but I'll be needing it less and less as time goes on. The computer is mainly a convenience so I can spot-check speed and distance. I usually am wearing a Forerunner 305 on my wrist anyway for the "official" stats

My wireless Sigma computer (BC1606L) will cut out if the Dinotte 200L-AA is too close to it. they need to be separated by at least 4" on the handlebars. Careful where you mount the batteries and route the wire as well. Too close to the computer head and it will interfere with the signal, causing it to read "0".
I think it interferes with the signal from the fork-mounted sensor. I'm disappointed with this, as the old Ultra 5 either. It forced me to move the comp off the stem and onto the left side of the handlebar.

similiar issue....VDO wireless computer and dinotte 200l. i had the lights out ahead of the computer and as soon as i turned them on the speed reading went to 60mph. after some fiddling i mounted the light right to the handlebar on the opposite side of the stem and no problems! light was previously on one of those FSA computer mount extendo thingys.....so far so good
