Garmin Cadence sensor on dual suspension MTB

I am getting a forerunner 305 soon and am looking at whether it is worth getting the bike sensor as well. I have a full suspension MTB so I'm not sure if it will work properly as it works on the back wheel. Has anyone tried it and does it work ok?

Shouldn't be a problem. The sensor mounts on the chainstay.
