Fenix L2D sucks in flash mode.
Just got it today and tried the flash mode it is way too fast. nothing like causing seizures in drivers and they will run you over.
just seeing the light blink that fast would drive me nuts on a ride.

Are you talking about at night or during the day? The flash mode is great during the day. Obviously at night using any flashing light this bright would be a bad idea (no matter what the flash pattern/speed), especially if it's your only light.

I had my Fenix in turbo mode (Not flash mode) the other night. I came up to a stop sign and went to make a left turn, after stopping of course, and got a CARS brights flashed at me! Made my night. =)

It's way to distracting to ride with as our only light when it's dark, but it works great to get some extra attention when you momentarily switch to the strobe mode for those left turners etc...

The flash mode works great when I use it to notify the street sweepers on my MUP. When it's foggy and I turn on the flash momentarily you can easily see when the driver notices the flash. I don't think I would leave it on flash for general riding, but switching to flash at strategic times seems to be a VERY effective way to get someones attention.

My old Cateye light has a slower flash mode that works great to catch drivers attention. I don't use the flash mode on my L1D because I know it is just too irritating. I wish it were slower.
