Nite Rider MiNewt Mini USB

Does anyone have the Nite Rider MiNewt Mini USB? Can anyone tell me what the charging characteristics are? Does anything light up on the power pack when it hits full charge? Does a computer recognize when the pack is plugged in? How about when the pack is plugged into the wall wart? Does the led on the wall wart come on while the power pack is charging? What color?

I bought one, but I'm concerned that either the wall wart or the power pack is defective. I plugged the pack onto the wall wart, but the led on the wall wart does not light up. On my digital evolution when the battery is charging the LED on the charger glows red and when it hits full charge it glows green. Niterider's instructions are strangely silent on what is normal charging behavior.

Nope. Probably the biggest reason for the low price is the lack of battery indicators. It's a plug and pray system Should work great once you figure out how long to leave it on the charger.

The LED on the wall charger should light up and stay lit. mine did at first, but stopped lighting up last week. Called NiteRider about it and now NR is sending me a new one.

In the meantime, I am sure glad to have the USB charging capability in addition to the wall wart.
