I've been holding back, though I'd like a bike GPS. Seems like every time I buy a Garmin (for road, aviation or whatever), they immediately come out with a new and better version.

Wonder how long 'till they come out with an OLED screen for even better daylight viewing and extended battery life? Also, I'd much prefer standard NiMH (AAA or AA) batteries over their proprietary LiPo.

I just got mine and have been perusing it's features. It's an immensely powerful tool for just about all forms of travel.

There is a thread already dedicated to the 705.

It's 31 pages long, anything you could want to know is there.

Look here:

Bike Forums > Bike Forums > Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets Garmin Edge 605 & 705 Tips, Tricks & Bugs

Any clearer ?
