Dinotte 400L Quick Release?
I'm strongly considering the Dinotte 400L headlight. The only caveat is that Dinotte does not offer a "quick release" for the 400L light. Since I plan on swapping the 400L between three bikes I'm curious if anyone has come up with a "quick release" solution?

I have a 400L and I have only one tip. Not a quick release, but a easy way to remove and swap to another bike. When you order ask for two additional mounts. Then all you have to do is remove a single screw to move it between three different mounts. The mounts will remain secured and aimed even when you remove the 400L.
The 400L does come standard with two styles of mounts. One will mount the light horizontal and the other will mount it vertical. So when you ask for those additional mounts be sure to specify. Not sure if I explained this well enough, I hope you understand what I was trying to suggest. |
Would you happen to have a closeup photo of the mounting bracket & how it attaches to the light?

Thank you. I already have an idea on how to make my own quick release.

Not to derail this thread but - how are you guys liking the 400L? (I already have the 200L)

I never realised dinotte lights weren't QR - that really sucks.
:( |
the older mount with the O-rings was releasable, I wouldn't say quick, but at least tool-less.

The advantage over the 200L, though, is that when you do move the light you won't have to readjust where the light is pointing - one of my biggest pet peeves about moving the 200L. |

...I'm pretty sure? Just call Dinotte, tell them what you want to do, and they'll be able to include the correct extra mounts that you'll need. :-) |
