Mapsource Route Question

What's the best way to create a route in Mapsource for use with 705? I have some written/printed cue sheets that I'd like stored in memory. When I try to create the route in Mapsource I have to enter 100 waypoints otherwise it takes me down roads I want to go (presumably trying to find what it thinks is the best route) and then the directions are crappy and don't seem editable. Also, I don't see a way to change the route once it's on the map (other than by creating new waypoints and inserting them). Is there a simple drag-and-drop like in Google maps?

Thanks,

Tom

Try to create a route on mapmyride.com; save it as a .gpx and then upload that into your 705 via MapSource?
I've found this method works best for my Magellan using easygps as Magellan's software really sucks

Good idea. I'm playing with that now. The first try pulled the gpx into mapsource as a "track" not a "route", which means there are no directions.

With the Edge 705 you do not need to load it into MapSource. You can save it directly into the GPX folder on your Edge. Save a step or two.
