yes, when you upload the data to motionbased it gives average, low and high HR and the avg, low and high as percentage of max HR..

It also gives you a breakdown of time and distance in zones 1 through 5

No.
Heart Rate,
Heart Rate - Avg,
Heart Rate - Lap,
Heart Rate Zone.

Heart Rate Zone goes to a tenth of a zone (i.e., 3.3, 4.6, etc.)

Actually, the answer is Yes. You have to set the unit to display HR as % of Max HR instead of BPM. Check the settings menu.

I just tried this. I stand corrected. Thanks kabersch.

settings>system>units>heart rate

No problem. I got my edge 305 for by birthday last Friday. I couldn't ride Saturday (and I don't ride Sunday's) so I read the manual all weekend. I really like this computer.

Anybody know how to select which Bike Profile to use?

Don't have it with me, but I believe its under settings. If you only use 1 bike, that's the one you'll always have it set on. If you use 2 or more (don't know how many profiles you can set up) you can pick which you want the ride to be paired to. Lets you keep separate mileage totals for each bike.

Dan,

I understand you can set profiles for 3 bikes. I have profiles set for my road bike and my mountain bike. The questions is; How do I tell the Edge which one to use?

I think I mispoke. I went back & looked at the manual & I don't think it will keep track of mileage for each bike. I think the only purpose of the bike profiles is for speed & distance (when no gps reception) & to calculate calories (dubious in any event). The book isn't too clear, but my guess is that if you go to the bike profile setting & choose the bike you want & leave the setting there when you change mode, it will use that bike for the calculations.
