BLT Fantom XR9 - 1W tail light

The BLT Fantom XR9 seems to be an interesting affordable tail light (1W LED), which, as far as I can see, has not been mentioned here.

The mounting is supposedly a bit iffy but the brightness seems very notable:

There are some simple beam shots in this thread. US price seems about $41. I have not seen it myself yet.

Two 1/2 watt PBSF will give you as much light and some redundancy :thumb:

Might cost less too.

I do not think this is the case. Judging from some british forums the XR9 is rather close to the dinotte tail light in its eye searing brightness.

Yes, I have. The BLT would certainly a bit more expensive, but it was designed as a tail light and not as flash light. Thus, I assume the light distribution is (hopefully) a bit more adequate. The BLT further runs on conventional AAA batteries.
