dinotte 800l or p7?

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Quoted for emphasis. Dinotte had an upgrade option for older models when they went to their current LEDs, and I expect they'll do it again when the next big upgrade comes out.

I hear this alot but alot of the P7s are not as floody as many people say. My P7 throws a tighter spot than my L2D (which is actually a floody light). In addition, the P7 throws so many lumens out that even a moderate tight spot is still more lux on the road than many of the 200 lumen lights with tighter beams. I do use the L2D on my helmet sometimes with the P7 but only to look into turns or noises coming from my sides, if I point the L2D where my P7s are (even with just one on) you cannot see it's beam at all over the P7, the P7 is that much more powerful.

EDIT (July 11, 2009): I discovered my L2D LED is damaged, so my Fenix opinions are not accurate.

this will be my next light, the PLI MCE from shiningbeam.. small form factor, good output and has a nice medium mode for longer burn.. small enough to use as a helmet light.. medium is pulling 1000ma so it would get 2.5 to 3 hours which is perfect for me..
