    Ledwholesalers: 1500 lumen MISTAKE!

SUMMARY: 1. defective products 2. associates are dishonest/lie to customers

if read my previous threads inquiring which flashlight to buy, you know that i chose a Tactical Cree 6x3 watt 1500 Lumen flashlight.

    i paid 110 for the flashlight + 2 18650 batteries and a charger. the following day i purchased 2 more 18650s for 10-15.

the item arrived quickly (i live 2/3 hours from them) and I was obviously very excited.

*advised it took 6016 hrs to charge. the switched turned green after 16hrs, i removed them*

I unscrewed the tail and installed the batteries. I then pressed the switch and...nothing.

I tried the other batteries and had the same result.

I called them and they told me pay for shipping and they would send a new one out. I did just that (last week, tuesday or wednesday). Monday night I came home from work at 11:30 and noticed the package.
Perfect, I could test it right then. I went to my room and installed the batteries. Nothing. Tried the Other batteries. nothing.

I did not touch the head of the flashlight because the note said doing so may damage it. I am a light noob and modding anything is not my fancy.

I sent them an email and a message of ebay over the course of 2 days and received no response.

I just got home about forty minutes ago and called their number. The man I spoke was Wayne.

I asked to speak to a manager and he asked who I was. I said I was a customer and he said the manager was gone. He told me he could help. I asked when the manager would be available and he replied the manager was only there a few hours each day. I then tell him my negative experience.
I tell him that I was frustrated because it has been over 2 weeks since i paid for an item i thought would work, and that I could not cycle to work because of this ordeal. I also explained I could have already gotten a light(s) from kaidomain or DX or shiningbeam for a lower price but I chose them because I liked that they were close by and had a return policy +contact information. He told me they could exchange it again but I replied I want my money back. He asked me what if the light worked when they got it back...I told him then the batteries were probably defective; also that I followed their instructions perfectly and either way I was being sold bad products and had enough of it. We spoke a little longer and I decided to exchange it for two different flashlights that equaled the price. Just as I was going to hang up, I asked him his name again and his manager's name. He said wayne, and then SAID THAT THERE WERE NO MANAGERS. I was confused and asked him: why did you tell me you had a manager then? He replied that he did not know who I was. I replied that I told him I was a customer. He told me that there were no managers because everyone there is equal. Again I asked him why he told me there were no managers and he replied he said that because companies dont have to have managers and that he didnt know if I was telemarketer or promoter. His voice was frsutrated and I said: if you dont have a manager then why would you say there was one but that he was unavailable? He said it didnt matter and I told him that I would rather have my money back and said bye.

You know what you should do... you should start a whole bunch of "what light should I buy?" threads and then ignore advice from everyone and buy some overpriced junk with inflated specs on ebay.
And then come back and complain.
    In a new thread.

I hear they have good phone customer service too.
And just up the road, why don't you go visit them?

Oh. did you mean: gain knowledge through asking others and research, then try a new product from a new dealer and then provide new reports on the events?

and when did a 6+/- drive become "up the road"?

and if everyone had given the same advice, then how would there be a review of the new company

i used? perhaps you enjoy forming an otherwise meaningless status in an internet website

where you attempt to belittle people who try new things, and compliment people who follow you exactly?

obviously as my post bears no importance/ does not manufacture any direct material significance to

you as an individual and member of society, you are once again attempting to bury your low self esteem

by acting as a designated and craved critic.

I bought a P7 from this same company over 6 months ago and it has worked fine and without issue.. I have also bought a few of there batteries because some of my smaller Q5 lights will only use unprotected 18650 cells and those too have worked well..

Too bad about this light, it looked interesting..

the other lady i talked on the phone last week was very nice. I had just agreed to send in the light for different ones and then he lied about the manager issue and was indignant about it. he (wayne) was rude. I cant believe when I told him that I thought the company would be a better choice than dx, etc. he told me that he didnt care if i didnt buy ledwholesalers and used someone else. he just had terrible customer service.

i might call in the morning and see if there IS a manger there. if i get the same treatment, I will
open a dispute in ebay and report them to bbb/consumer affairs. i make crappy pay and i dont want it wasted.

Driving To Destination = 2/3 hours. I doubt I will buy a plane ticket back and have my car cargo lifted back as well. so yeah, we now MULTIPLY 2/3 hrs by 2!

WHY BY 2? BECAUSE THE TRIP BACK WILL BE THE SAME TIME FRAME! HURRAY FOR MATH!

    MATH IS EXCITING!

    2/3 x 2= 6HRS +/-

    "+/-" MEANS MORE OR LESS!

JUST AS "2/3" MEANS BETWEEN 2-3HOURS!

    YAY! MATH IS AMAZING!

AND ZNOMIT IS A DBAG! HE HAS NO LIFE AND RELIES UPON ATTEMPTED CYBER BULLYING TO
    GET OFF! YAY FOR HIM!

    HURRAY FOR MATH!

are you done with the incessant immature attacks?

I think actually two thirds times two is equal to an hour twenty.

    Just about done I think.

In my experience working in retail anyone who's first words are 'I want to speak to the manager' is usually a PITA or a crank. I can see how he might have made something up when those are your first words. Generally it's good to ask for a manager when the person on the other end of the phone can't help you at all.

What's up with calling everyone who disagrees with you a d-bag? It's about the third time I've seen you do it on your quest for a light. How about trying to be civil, especially with people who have been trying to help you.

Sorry if you don't like being called out, but many of us took the time to respond to your four threads in an attempt to help you find a good light. You ignored the majority consensus and are now whining about it, and can't take that people don't want to hear you whine in a new fifth thread. Please take your own advice and grow up.

so somehow my choice to do something that no one else had done makes me self righteous???

because I asked to speak to the store manager after paying for an item which was sent DOA and the exchange was DOA. and then i send emails which are ignored, and after that i channel my frustration by asking to speak to the manager?

THE BEST ADVICE I GOT FROM THESE FORUMS IN MY EARLIER POSTS WAS TO "BITE THE BULLET"

to try something independently and see how it plays out.

Not once did i discredit any members opinion or help. apparently you two are still holding grudges because i did not follow your footsteps.

THERE ARE A LOT OF HELPFUL PEOPLE ON HERE BUT YOU TWO ARE JADED. GET OVER IT, I DID NOT
    FOLLOW YOU.

Actually I think the best advice, from lots of people, was to get a P7 for 1/3 the price (thats one third the price, not between one and three times the price... I know, math is confusing).

Holding grudges? What are you talking about? No one here is holding a grudge, but rather are disappointed with your nasty attitude after being patiently helped in four separate threads.

People told you to 'bite the bullet' and buy one of the many single 18650 P7 or MC-E lights that were suggested by 90% of the people that responded to your four threads. You totally ignored just about everyone's suggestions, made a terrible choice, and now have started a fifth thread looking for some kind of sympathy. Can you see how people might not be totally sympathetic to you, especially as you are being nasty to them whilst whining like a small child?

SOMEHOW I BELIEVE OPINIONS ARE SUBJECTIVE...quantity also does not dictate what is right.

hmm. I researched the DX site, cpf, here, mtbr, KD, and several other sites for product reviews. i came across a significant amount of p7 and dx users that faced problems w/their products. also as i was looking to start night commuting as soon as possible i decided to order somewhere locally. DX seems to not have a great customer service rep. i called LEDwholesalers before buying. I researched a lot and ultimately i was willing and able to pay more for a product that came with a direct way to fix any problems that may occur. clearly there has been a negative experience but this is a consequence i face.

your harassment is unfounded and reflective of your immaturity. im trying to provide information to those who may not be able to find feedback on ledwholesalers.com

again...opinions are subjective. LIGHTING IS ABOUT PREFERENCE!

"people" responding include you and znomit and socalrider...socalrider was not immature or harassing.

You are neglecting the fact that the vast majority of those who bought a P7 or MC-E light (which of course are sold by US based sellers too) are happily riding at night, while you are sitting at home steaming over your manky light.

In the future if you ask for advice and just about everyone gives you the same answer you should probably go with it as there is a very good reason that everyone is saying the same thing.

No one has been immature or harassing but you. You are the one freaking out and calling people d-bags and such. In fact you called me a d-bag in one of your five threads that I politely and thoughtfully responded to several times when I suggested that you re-read the responses you already had gotten instead of asking the same question over and over, as it had been answered many times already.

I hope you'll hopefully listen to the advice you've been given than you can have hopeful night rides. I do hope that your night rides are as full of hope as mine are. I can see the road at night; I hope that soon you can too.

You got sucked into what happens to newbies often, the numbers game.. If a P7 is 700 lumens then 1500 lumens is much better.. Trust me this happens to everyone.. Instead of sending the 1500 lumen light back and forth, you should see is they will exchange for the P7 light that they sell and refund the difference.. Or ask the seller to test the light before shipment to make sure you do not get another doa unit.. When I dealt with this seller on a couple of occasions they answered a few questions that I had and shipped fast.. The products all worked out of the box and I have around 100+ hours of burn time on the p7 with no issues...

they told me that in actuality the lumen output was 650+/- for the 1500l light i bought.

i really dont want to buy from dx or kd because it seems decent amount of people end up modding their lights to make them work.

im thinking about just paying 270 for a niterider trinewt.

    you have the mte, correct?

If you're willing to spend that much there's always an AirBike P7. It should be a lot brighter than the Niterider, not to mention all the Niterider battery hassles.....

    you have the mte, correct?

The trinewt is a solid light, don't waste your time paying extra for the wireless model, it is just a waste of money, you usually will keep it in high mode all the time anyway.. Just as a side note all the P7 lights I have are just a tad brighter than the trinewt which is rated just under 500 lumens.. The low mode does offer a very long burn time right under 7 hours..

SB has a new MC-e dual cell light that looks interesting, since you were planning on mounting a light that size anyway.. give it a look..

The bikeforums is a plethora of of knowledge, but when you decide to go against the grain (which you're free to do) you gotta expect some trouble. That's why people provide user reviews and real consumer opinions.
