Computer with ODO, MPH and Cadence
I don't need GPS, as my phone already does that. I have a Polar HR monitor, so I don't need that either. I don't care about wire/wireless, but am on a budget. There are so many choices, and everything seems focused on GPS and HR, so I can't figure out a computer that would do what I am looking for.
Can anyone offer a suggestion? |
Have you tried Performance bike shop? They have a budget friendly selection.
|
I like the SIGMA1606L. It's wired and has cadence. It's also easy on the budget.
|
Well, without cadence -- http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-SW654-.../dp/B000DZD3FQ
... works pretty good. With cadence -- http://www.amazon.com/E3-F11C-Cadenc.../dp/B0018A8BUW ... never used that one, but it's certainly inexpensive. |
Cateye Strada Cadence.
|
Cateye or Sigma.
Just keep in mind that if you get a wireless bike computer, it may or may not get along with your HRM. But if you're on a budget, you're probably better off with a wired. |
Sigma BC1606L. Wired, cheap, easy to install (but a little futzy to set up). $29 at LL Bean or $40 at REI. Spare harnesses are only $8 and make changing between bikes a breeze.

Sigma rox 8 verus cateye V2c
Does anyone have 1rst hand experience?
I like cateye's fastening of the computer, I feel the the sigma could fall off the bike if I were to fall or have an accident? I do however like the fetures of the Rox8. So can someonoe please point out something that i need to know that are not on the manufacturers site? Does anyone have pictures of the sensors installed? |
