Saw these in target this weekend. The store had both string and nets, I'm gonna get a set of strings for my commuter in a week or two and celebrate christmas properly. :)

Those are cool for the bike, and I might think about getting some myself for that purpose.

But for their intended purpose? Wow, I wonder if they're selling these as environmentally friendly? Because they're almost certainly an environmental disaster. Rather than just a string of LEDs, you're getting a string of LEDs with a cruddy solar panel and probably NiCad batteries (they're really cheap and don't need charging circuitry). They'll get used one season, probably saving a total of about 15 cents of electricity per string, then put away. Next year the battery will be dead because you can't leave nickel-based rechargables to just sit in a box for a year. Then they'll get thrown away complete with toxic battery.

Save your money...they don't work. I bought a set last year to put on my folder. I followed the instructions on leaving them out for 8 hours to power up and never got a light. I took them back and bought the battery operated lights instead. The battery pack is rather large but smaller than the solar panel but easier to place on the bike because it is square as opposed to being round. I think the battery operated lights are cheaper by $10.
