Old Dinotte Specs - help with red/green indicator

I have inadvertently purchased the original version of the Dinotte 3 watt 80 lumen Lithium Ion lighting system. Endurance Series Three Dual is the correct name,

Anyway, at least i got new battery packs with the system but no instructions about just what the "red" light means when the system has been on for a while.

What I want to know, if the red light means the battery current has dropped below a prescribed threshold, what happens if I continue running the light. Is there another current "threshold" gate/switch that will shut the system down before damaging the battery due to over discharge?

The way I understand it - it's a no no to deeply discharge Lithium batteries, yet I think I am supposed to do that for my lap top every couple of weeks....

Thanks.

Richard, I have Dinotte lights as well. When fully charged my lights show a blue indicator on the back of the light engine and a red indicator when the charge reaches a certain low level. Once they get to the low level they will stay on for a while but if you have a distance to travel I would change batteries. I have the 200 watt lights with 4 AA batteries. I don't know if yours work the same way or not.

I would call them and ask. Also, ask if they will make you a trade in offer on a newer light since you already have a new battery.
