For what it's worth, TOPEAK doesn't make a bad product IMO. I was in a crash and snapped the plastic mount off my seatbag, I emailed them, they asked me for my addy, and sent me a new one, no questions asked. Blackburn is another company with this same philosophy. Can't go wrong.

Am I the only person who just has a floor pump that hangs out in the truck or at home, and a CO2 inflation device for the ride? I had a frame mount pump that I bought at the same time as my mountain bike. I thought it was cool until I swapped out the wide knobby tires for 1.95 hybrids (slick along the center, knobs on the side) and tried to push 60 PSI into the tire with the hand pump.
The CO2 thing is just so much easier to deal with

I carried just CO2 for a long time until I had 2 flats in one day. The second flat was a slow leak and the only way to find it was to fill the tube with air, which used up too much of my second CO2 cartridge so I wasn't able to refill the tire after fixing. Bottom line, I had to walk my bike home 4 miles in cleats. I started carrying my Zefal pump again after that ride, in addition to CO2.

I would have gotten the Road Morph or Road Morph mini, personally. :-)
P.S. Actually, the important question to ask is - is it for a mountain bike, a road bike, or a tire size in between?

Yea, I can see where a co2 inflator is useless without a cartridge. Good point. I'll start packing 3 or 4 canisters now.

new pump bracket
Moved my bike downstairs, on the way down the pump brushed my leg and the bracket snapped near the top bolt. I sent the following email to Norco, Topeak's rep in Canada.
To whom it may concern
I recently bought a Peak DXII mini pump and affixed it to my bike. I was moving the bike downstairs when the pump brushed against my leg and the top part of the bracket snapped in two. Could you send me a new bracket, please.
Roland Groemmer
Their response:
Roland,
I cannot send you out a bracket as we do not deal with consumers directly. You will have to order one from you local bike shop. the Norco part number you will need is 176970-04. the part cost. $6.50 cdn

Not bad for a pump bought a week ago this past Sunday, guess you get better service in the States.

"new pump bracket"
Well that is the most bizzare thing I've ever heard - just about a month ago I searched and searched and searched for the under-the-water-bottle-cage mount for the Topeak Road Morph. I finally emailed them directly - they said I had to call them. I called the number they gave me, they knew actually what I was talking about, and they shipped it to me.
Now I would agree that that's poor customer service, but if I were you I would bring back the pump and the bracket to the bike shop and exchange or return it. My LBS has been pretty good about taking back things that were obviously defective, like it sounds like yours was.

To anyone looking at a Topeak Road [Mini] Morph, check out the Lezyne Micro Floor drive, it's between the 2 in size, and is all metal construction. It's more expensive and Lezyne is a young company, but it may just be the new king. They also have a new one called the Swivel Drive, I'm not sure exactly how it differs. I have their Alloy Floor Drive floor pump and it's fantastic and looks amazing in a corner. I bought their Pressure Drive S for the road, it's all metal and has a convenient hose which stores inside it, but those tiny pumps are still a pain in the a$$ so I carry CO2 as well.

And they use a *threaded* connection to the valve stem instead of the cheap piece of rubber the others use.

I liked it so much I bought the Lezyne alloy floor pump. I paid $69 delivered for it. Piece of art! Same great CNC machined build quality. Thread on the valve and it took probably 10 smooth pumps to get from 80 to 120psi. I can't say enough how much I love these Lezyne pumps.
I don't work for Lezyne. Don't know much about them. In fact, never had heard of them until about two months ago.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. It's good to see a company build something right the first time.

Thanks for the headsup on the Lezyne, I have 2 hand pump, Topeak Morph and a Blackburn I think that I find useless. I might consider getting the Lezyne, just don't know which on line store I spotted it selling for $30.00. I'll just have to research it again. When I'm at home before I go for a ride, I check my tires and if they are somewhat low on air, I use my regular tool shed compressor to fill air.

Check out their site carefully, so you know what you want, and what the online vendors are actually offering:
https://www.lezyne.com/products/hand-pumps.html
Some tips in their model names:
"HP" = High Pressure (road tires)
"HPG" = High Pressure with Gauge (road tires)
"HV" = High Volume (mountain tires)
"HVG" = High Volume with Gauge (mountain tires)
Some are available it different lengths (small, medium, large).
Some are available in different colors.
Also note that not all models have hoses.
What I have:
- Micro Floor Drive HP in the rack bag of my touring bike.
- Pressure Drive (medium length) in the saddle bag of my road bike.

Shimagnolo, thanks for linking the Lezyne site. I'll probably browse on their wide selection of hand pumps.

I've read nothing but good things about it. I hefted one at REI (they want $39), and it was impressive, I almost got it. The only reason I didn't is because it didn't jive with my minimalistic fixed gear I had a fantasy that a Pressure Drive S wouldn't be a pain to pump a tire up with, but unfortunately I guess that's the inevitable nature of a pump the size of a hotdog. I might just pick up a Micro Floor Drive in the future. Or the Swivel Drive: the only difference I see is a shorter hose and no foot peg? The shorter hose makes it look cleaner imo. It's a bit shorter overall (260mm vs 300) so probably won't move quite as much air but it apparently still leverages against the ground so I think it would work almost as well.
If anyone nabs one of these, post your thoughts
