Garmin Edge 500 Neutral Edition! <3
Just got my Garmin Edge 500 Neutral Edition! Have been waiting a while for this to become available, and since I recently got a job, now I can afford to get one! Only difference between this and the normal version is that it has black accents whereas the normal version has blue parts. Better matches my Tarmac. Am itching to use it, but it's raining outside, and the HRM/Speed/Cadence sensors don't get here til Friday

Thanks! Yes I'm sure it will. Hopefully the GSC10/HRM will come in tomorrow. I am doing a ride in the morning (with just the GPS), and then hopefully the sensors will come in and I can get the GSC10 on the bike before my second ride.

I'm a few mouse clicks away from getting one myself. Would have been nice if Garmin built in the option to swap out faceplates in different colors. The Neutral looks best.

Yeah, that would be awesome. Maybe it just wasn't in the cards during the 500's design phase. Oh well. That's what the Edge 505 is for? lol (I just made up the #)

Love my 500. I've been using it w/o the speed/cadence sensor for a couple of months. Works fine without it, but I did just order the cadence sensor from Amazon, but haven't gotten it yet.
Love the mount, think that it is the best ever for a removable computer. The 500 connects easily to the PC, battery life is long, and has lots of memory to hold rides. Make sure you try Garmin Connect.

I just ordered a neutral 500 myself last weekend. It should be getting here tomorrow or the day after. Here's a link to the site I bought it from...right now they're having a 15-20% off sale for most of the garmin products they sell.

Nice. Make sure that they have a good support policy. I bought mine for full retail at REI because they have great customer service should anything go wrong.

Do you guys know if this thing can display the time of day? Random question, I know, but couldn't find the answer. It'd be nice to know how late I'm going to be to work when I'm riding in.

Yes it can. You have 3 screens of up to 8 fields of data each. There's a ton of stuff.

No problem. The nice thing is how depending on the amount of fields you have it changes how big the display font is also.

I don't live in Canada, but I know that you can buy it from ProBikeKit https://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=O0200 or the Neutral Edition https://www.probikekit.com/advsearch....eutral&x=0&y=0

Does anyone know if the computer cable for uploading rides also charges it? I ordered from PBK and I am kind of worried that I won't be able to use the AC cable it came with.
Also, it does not matter that it's from england right? Meaning, uploading to GarminConnect will be fine?

Yes it will charge the 500 just fine while it's hooked up to your computer. As far as the garmin connect in England goes....I'm pretty sure it would work just fine but I can't guarantee anything. Best to shoot garmin an email to make sure.

How do you like your 500? I've been looking at the Edge 705, but am not sure if I really need it. How is the GPS on the 500?

I love my 500. The GPS works great. I have had only one time where it shut off by itself (was pressing the Page/Menu button while tracking my position on a coruse).
