Cyclocomputer recommendations

I'm looking for a wired cyclocomputer for my father for Christmas. I need something that is simple and robust. He is just getting into cycling and would like to track his speed and distance on his rides. His eyes aren't great and he's not terribly tech savy so a largish screen and simple interface is more important than advanced features. Any suggestions?
