DealExtreme Shipping Times

I ordered some 18650 batteries and charger from Dealextreme on 11-23-10. How long should i expect it to take to arrive in Kansas?

Hard to say. I just ordered today.

I have read that they ship by containers. Once a container is full it gets shipped.

Hopefully you ordered enough to fill the container and get our goods on their way.

I live on the west coast, and I've ordered from DealExtreme twice. The first time it took about a week. The second time was split into multiple shipments, one arriving in about two weeks, one a month or so later, and one about four months later.

yikes! Maybe i should have spent more and ordered domestically? Any good domestic sources for 18650's and charger?

Your variable is how long it takes them to get the item in stock. Sometimes they have it on hand and it goes out in a day or two. Other times they are waiting on deliveries to ship out. Totally random. Once they do have an item on hand, ems post from Hong Kong to Chicago, fer instance, takes about 7-10 days.

Three weeks seems to be the average for the orders I've placed.

I've had orders take from 10 days to 6 weeks from DE.. Best source for usa based 18650's and charger is: www.lighthound.com

lighthound is in Texas..

Lighthound looked good, but I saved a few bucks and bought mine from sbflashlights.com. CPF had favorable reviews of their branded cells. They ship from Texas and California.

\/\/ I didn't order a charger, I'm still planning to use the unbranded DX 18650 charger I got in my first order, it cuts off at 4.2V and the batteries get just barely noticeably warm

Never bought from them, that charger is what is bundled with many of the battery/charger combos from hong kong.. Not sure of quality looks on the inexpensive side.. If you need inexpensive I would look at the dsd chargers, this one ships from California

http://cgi.ebay.com/DSD-intelligent-...item2ea7905424

I used this one prior to getting a pila charger, not fast but works just fine

Dealextreme is located in Hong Kong China which explains the long delivery times.

Although as mentioned before, their practice of waiting for a full-container before shipping can lead to widely variable arrival-times for your order. I've found similar deals on ebay from other Hong Kong sellers who will consistently get it out the day after payment is received. They'll send via post-service and I get it within 7-10 days always.

I will never order from them again. I understand they are in Hong Kong but my wife ordered some electronics accessories from a place in Hong Kong 2 weeks after i ordered my dealextreme stuff and she received it today. Meanwhile i found the same batteries and charger on ebay from a guy in Utah. Ordered last Saturday and received in 3 days.

Never again for Dealextreme. I still don't have my order!!!

I think you will find most of the HK sellers on ebay much more responsive and they ship things in 1-2 days and normally have them in 10-14 days.. I will highly recommend this seller, his prices are slightly higher than some other HK ebay sellers but he buys direct from Manufacturer and I have never received bad cells or lights from him. One time I had a DOA headlamp and he re-sent a replacement 1 day after I emailed him. The replacement arrived and worked fine. You can never get that kind of service from DE no matter how hard you try..

I remember once waiting a month or two for an order to arrive. I thought I had been ripped-off, but one day a package from China arrived at my door.

My order took about a month. There are plenty of sellers from HK on eBay with similiar prices who ship via mail and I get it in about a week.

My orders have taken between 3 and 6 weeks. I definitely would not place an order with them now, expecting it to arrive for Christmas. An order placed now should be expected mid January but may arrive in February.

I placed an order on Dec. 4th and it didn't ship until Dec. 14th.

I have ordered previously and got the items in about two weeks but this time is a lot slower
