Question Anyone using the Dahon Biologic Reecharge???

Hey guys,

The Reecharge is now going out for about 50GBP with the 20% discount going on Evans. Just wanted to see if anyone is using it & how's the review??? Or is this a wiser choice to buy. The thing is with 20quid extra I get some extra features on this one.

That's a great price. I've had no problems charging, and keeping charged, my iphone 4 w/ this. I charged from 89% to 98% yesterday on my ride home, which is 4.5 miles uphill, so I wasn't going fast and it was short. On a century ride I kept up a GPS app on the display the whole time; it quickly went from 85% up to 100% and stayed there.

However, occasionally it doesn't charge the phone. I'm still not sure if this is because a) the button to turn on input is mushy w/o a real good click, and b) the light indicating incoming current is impossible to see in the daylight, so you don't really know whether it's on, or c) could be that it doesn't want to charge the phone until the reecharge battery is full.

Frankly, I think it's the latter, and note that the battery alone will not take my iphone 4 above 80% or so. It seems I need a full battery AND incoming current.

Despite all these caveats, I immediately replaced it when someone ripped off the battery when it was parked outside a museum in downtown DC.

Thanks for input mate, Your replacing it talks volumes about the product.

Well the deal was too good to let go so I ordered it even though I contemplated much on whether to build one myself or get the el.cheapo Brocott one. But I've always in someway or the other regretted later when I've cut costs so I splurged.
