Rack mounting Dinotte 400 R
I've got a Dinotte 400 R tailight coming my way. My plan is mounting it to my Tubus Cosmo rack and utlilizing the mounting holes in the rack. I think it'll provide a cleaner mount than attaching to the round tubing. Though the Tubus hole spacing does not match the Dinotte, it looks like I can adapt it with a small aluminum plate (mount the Dinotte to a plate, and then onto the Tubus rack). I'm curious if anyone has experience with the Dinotte and Tubus, and matching the two. Images are always greatly appreciated. My only concerns are the thread depths in the rear of the Dinotte, that is, are they sufficiently deep to screw into.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but it's how I did my 140R.

You might even go with a chunk of wood and use appropriate screws to get it to work, but if you have access to metal fab tools...

I mounted mine to an aluminum plate, bolted to my Civia rack taillight mounting bracket. Screw threads in the Dinotte light are relatively shallow before the screws can start contacting the light internals so be careful. IIRC the screws can only go in about 4mm. I used a calipers to measure maximum safe insertion length and trimmed the mounting bolts to slightly less than maximum allowable length.

Bicycle flyer - beautiful setup - nice job on the "candy cane" taping as well.
I'm using the "PVC" mount as well.

I have the 400R and it has a lot of connectors for connections, and have mounted many different places on my bike at times.
I have mounted to my rack using the connector with the small hole that fit well on the rack post. I added a little rubber strip to improve the grip but never had a problem.
Great lite

Don't you guys carry panniers on your rear racks? It looks to me like your tailight adapters below your rack tables would get in the way of panniers clamped on the rack rails.
I'm trying to figure out a clean and sanitary way make a fixture to attach to the rear of my rear rack tube - without drilling holes in my custom titanium rear rack.
