Head Light Trek's Ion Rechargeable

Does anyone have any experience with this light. Trek Ion Rechargeable It is not rated in Lumens so I can compare it to anything else. Just wondering if anyone else has one here and what their experience is?

You can expect about 600 lumens out the front on this light. https://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDeta...roductId=11226

When it comes to Trek accessories, I've found them to be way overpriced and way under-performing. It's a 1W light; IIRC the PB Blaze 1W is only like 50 lumen or so. I could be (and probably am) wrong, though.

i think they are both 1W but PB Blaze is only $39 compare to Trek's $99 price tag. check out dealextreme.com, particularly this light: https://www.dealextreme.com/p/ha-iii-...included-29489

I had an old Ion 6 (or was it 5?) as my first bicycle light. It was much cheaper than this one, but was poorly made and not very bright.

I'm guessing this new one is similar to a PB Blaze, which is better, but still not great. a 1W headlight is okay to be seen, but if you need to see the road, you'll want more.

No I have an Ultra 501B that I bought from DX has the XM-L bulb and it's brighter than a flashlight I have that has the P-7 bulb. The smaller light runs at 1.5 amps and the P-7 light at 2.4 amps.
DX also has a Magic Shine with the new bulb. https://www.dealextreme.com/p/mj-808e...-4x18650-57100
